SUPPORT US

OUR MISSION IS SIMPLE

To provide financial support to those dealing with hardships while battling cancer.

Cancer is a word that no one wants to hear; every fourteen seconds, somewhere in the world, someone receives a devastating cancer diagnosis. Almost all of us have been impacted by cancer in some way, and many have lost family members, colleagues and dear friends to this horrible disease.

Paint Pink is a Hampton Roads non-profit founded by Norfolk Artist, Kim Keene after her own cancer diagnosis. Kim was fortunate to have a strong support system throughout her battle, but understood that not every cancer patient is as lucky. That’s when she founded Paint Pink Inc. and committed to providing financial support to cancer patients so they can focus on healing.

Paint Pink relies on funds from donations, merchandise sales, and community fundraising events.  Our supporters are individuals, small businesses, and corporations. Your contribution, big or small, helps people during their cancer battle.

Kim's Krusade

When Kim was hospitalized in August of 2024, the Paint Pink board of directors decided that the best way to show their love and support was to start a fundraising campaign in her honor.  With a $100 donation on August 30th, and a seemingly impossible goal of raising $100,000 by the end of 2024, “Kim’s Krusade” was born.  Touched by Kim’s story, the community stepped up in an enormous way. Articles and stories about Kim were published and broadcast by numerous local media outlets.  Multiple fundraisers were planned. Friends, neighbors, family and even strangers generously donated to Paint Pink.  By the first week of October, less than 3 weeks after Kim passed away, the $100,000 goal had been surpassed.  A testament to Kim’s tremendous impact on the community, Kim’s Krusade brought in over $226,000 in donations by December 31st 2024.

The response to Kim’s Krusade was so positive, it is going to be an annual campaign to honor her memory.  Kim’s dying wish was that Paint Pink live on, and with your help we can continue to support local cancer warriors while they battle their illnesses.
