The Gallery at Paint Pink
The Gallery at Paint Pink was the idea of friends and fellow artists, Kim Keene and Laura Henderson who shared a studio together at d'Art Center. They always talked about having a gallery together since their art styles were complimentary to each other.
In May, 2024 a space in the Market Shoppes in Ghent became available and their gallery dreams began. After some much needed renovations on the space, they were excited to have their first show was on August 7.
Very shortly after, Kim became sick after her cancer aggressively spread and they were never able to have another show together. Kim lost her battle on September 16, 2024.
Before passing, Laura promised Kim that she would continue her mission and continue giving money from art sales to Paint Pink to help those battling cancer.
The gallery currently features the work of Laura Henderson, who specializes in acrylic abstract art, as well as that of various rotating guest artists. The gallery is open for scheduled shows and by appointment only.
A portion of all art sales is donated to Paint Pink Inc.
The Gallery is located in the Ghent Market Shoppes at 2200 Colonial Avenue #15, Norfolk, VA 23507.
